Sports Performance Chiropractic Therapist Assistant (License Required)

ClinicalHendersonville, TNFull TimeOn Site39,000

About the role

Want a healthcare job where you actually get to work with patients instead of spending your entire day behind a desk?

Active Sports Therapy is looking for a Chiropractic Therapy Assistant, CTA, to join our clinical team.

This is a hands-on position inside a busy sports-focused chiropractic and rehabilitation clinic. You'll work directly alongside our doctors helping patients move through treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery.

Our patients range from active adults trying to get back to the things they love to competitive athletes working toward a return to sport.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys exercise, movement, healthcare, fitness, and working directly with people and wants practical experience in a clinical environment.

This is probably a great fit if...

You enjoy being active and would rather spend your day moving around the clinic than sitting behind a computer.

You're comfortable talking with people and can quickly build rapport.

You like exercise, anatomy, movement, sports, or rehabilitation and want to understand how those things are applied to real patients.

You're coachable and can take detailed instruction from a doctor, then carry it out consistently.

You pay attention to the little things, including exercise technique, patient comfort, treatment setup, and clinic flow.

You enjoy being part of a team where everyone helps each other when the clinic gets busy.

And most importantly, you genuinely enjoy helping people get better.

Responsibilities

What you'll actually do

  • Work directly with patients throughout their treatment sessions
  • Guide and supervise therapeutic exercise programs prescribed by our doctors
  • Help patients learn proper exercise technique, positioning, and movement
  • Assist with soft tissue and therapeutic treatment procedures within the scope of CTA licensure
  • Assist with Class IV laser therapy
  • Assist with focused shockwave therapy
  • Help administer other therapeutic modalities and treatments as directed by our doctors and permitted by licensure
  • Prepare patients and treatment areas for care
  • Communicate patient responses, concerns, and progress to the treating doctor
  • Help keep the clinical floor moving smoothly during busy treatment periods
  • Maintain clean, organized, fully stocked treatment and rehabilitation areas
  • Provide an encouraging, professional experience that makes patients feel supported throughout their recovery

Qualifications

What we're looking for

  • Dependable, organized, and accountable
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Interest in exercise, fitness, sports, rehabilitation, or healthcare
  • Ability to learn exercises, treatment protocols, and clinical procedures quickly
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and being coached
  • Able to work closely with doctors and other members of the clinical team
  • Comfortable being on your feet and actively working with patients throughout the day

Experience in chiropractic, physical therapy, athletic training, personal training, exercise science, or another healthcare environment is helpful, but finding the right personality and work ethic is just as important to us.

Why work with us

What it's like working here

This isn't a clinic where assistants simply put patients on a machine and walk away.

We want our CTAs engaged.

You'll learn why we're doing what we're doing, help coach patients through exercises, watch how they respond to treatment, communicate with the doctors, and become an important part of the patient's experience.

There will be busy days, and you'll often be working with several moving pieces at once. We expect our team to communicate, stay aware of what is happening around them, and help wherever they're needed.

In return, you'll get an opportunity to build real clinical skills while working closely with doctors who treat musculoskeletal injuries every day.

For someone considering a future in chiropractic, physical therapy, athletic training, exercise science, sports performance, or another healthcare profession, this is an opportunity to gain experience that is difficult to get from a classroom alone.
